ABOUT OUR SWINGIVERSARY

It's hard to believe it's been 25 years since the dance floors of Lindy by the Sea and Rusty's Rhythm Club first opened! That's right, those doors opened in 1998, and our crazy Lindy Hop journey here in Southern California has been going strong ever since. To celebrate our 25th Swingiversary, we knew we wanted to hold a really special dance... And then it came to us - The Automobile Driving Museum, right in our home town of El Segundo. We exclaimed, "This is it! This beautiful museum filled to the brim with classic cars, with its own 1940's soda fountain, with a big ballroom for our dance, this is perfect!"

We made a recent visit and couldn't resist doing a little posing ourselves!

ABOUT OUR BAND
LIL' MO & THE DYNAFLOS

THE BAND'S BIO

Lil' Mo and the Dynaflos came about one night around 2004 at the World Famous Derby Club in Los Angeles as "Lil' Mo" Morris Everett and Cliff Quan discussed their love for Doo Wop music. Lil' Mo, being a veteran of previous vocal groups and Cliff, being an avid Doo Wop listener and rockabilly guitar player in the LA band “The Hellzaboppers”, decided "Why not give it a go ourselves?" The rest is history!

The Dynaflos blend their style of 50's, 60's, Doo Wop and R&B, with an upbeat, rockin' band. Something for everyone! Combine that with a high energy stage show and you'll find one undeniably fun, hard working group that is hard to ignore - and great to dance to.

OUR WELLNESS POLICY & MASK ETIQUETTE

Our Wellness Policy:
Swing dancing is one of the best things you can do for your physical, mental, and emotional health. As it is done in close contact with a partner, and in busy spaces, we highly recommend that you protect yourself from contagious viruses. Additionally, please stay home if you are feeling unwell or suspect that you have been in close contact with others who are ill.

Our Mask Etiquette:
Bring a mask to all of our classes and dances and keep it with you. Before dancing with someone who chooses to wear a mask, please put yours on... Our motto: "Don't ask! Wear your mask!"
(Remember, there are those in our community who are at high risk and others who are caregivers of high risk family members. Let's keep them and their families well, too.)

Thank you for all you do to keep our dance community healthy and happy!
